Water Distiller

The project we have been working for the last few months is a solar water distiller. This distiller is different than other one because of its very unique design. Instead of having one unit above ground always being hot we have three units, one that is above ground that distills water, a unit under ground unit that can keep the waste cool when it is distilled, and a 55- gallon tank that can hold rain water. The distiller is sill in development stages but we hope soon we can make a working prototype. One the benefits of our design is that it uses solar power, this means that it will be completely clean. There are drawings at the below showing our design of what our distiller will look like.

What's this all about?

We are students and teachers at the Science and Technology Magnet School of Southeastern Connecticut. Our resident scholar, Justin Grabel, is an expert in growing coral in captivity. He has lectured in Germany about his coral growing techniques and is becoming highly regarded in his field.
